Food & Clothing Drive

EJHS is collecting items to donate to Crisis Nursery of Effingham County. Crisis Nursery provides free emergency child card for children ages birth - 6 years of age: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Students can drop off their donations first thing in the morning in Mrs. Ervin's classroom until December 19th. Besides toddler sized hats and gloves, some great items to donate would be ready-to-eat food and snacks for kids six years old and younger. Here are some examples:

Pantry Items

  • Applesauce cups or pouches

  • Fruit cups (in 100% juice)

  • Mini boxes of raisins

  • Goldfish, animal crackers, graham crackers

  • Soft granola bars (chewy, not crunchy)

  • Baby/toddler puffs

  • Baby/toddler yogurt melts

  • Nutri-Grain–type soft cereal bars

  • Individual oatmeal packets (just add water)

Microwaveable Meals

  • Easy Mac cups

  • Microwaveable mac & cheese bowls

  • Canned ravioli or mini pastas

  • Microwavable rice bowls

  • Toddler veggie/pasta meals (Gerber, Beechnut, etc.)

Drinks

  • 100% juice boxes

  • Yoo Hoo
